Who Can Become a Liver Transplant Donor?

BLOOD TYPE COMPATIBILITY

For liver transplantation, blood type compatibility alone is sufficient. The donor's Rh factor being (+) or (-) has no impact. Tissue type compatibility is not required, and no additional immunological evaluation is performed.

WHO CANNOT BE A DONOR?

· Those whose ABO blood group is not compatible
· Under 18 years of age
· Those who are not volunteer donors
· Overweight
· Those with psychiatric disorders
·Those with alcoholism and substance addiction
· Those diagnosed with cancer
· Chronic hepatitis patients
· AIDS patients
· Those with heart and lung disease
· Those diagnosed with diabetes
· Those with neurological diseases
· Those with bleeding disorders
· Those with fatty liver
· Liver volume insufficiency
· Pregnancy
