Dr. Ertuğrul was born in 1976 in Aydın. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education there and successfully graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2002, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree. He then completed his residency in the Department of General Surgery at Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2010, continuing his career as a General Surgery Specialist. After completing his compulsory service, he has worked in organ transplant surgery at various hospitals since 2012.
He has been providing services to patients in the fields of liver transplantation, kidney transplantation, liver-biliary tract, and pancreatic oncologic surgery since 2012. Dr. Ertuğrul has numerous national and international publications in the field of organ transplantation.
